Atchley, Cunningham & Shoemaker, LLC provides insurance and investment products and services to a wide range of individuals and companies. Ben Atchley and Mike Cunningham founded Atchley, Cunningham & Associates in 1986. Ed Shoemaker joined the firm in 1987 and the name was changed to Atchley, Cunningham and Shoemaker, LLC (ACS). Each associate has as long and distinguished business and civic resume. ACS affiliated with Strategic Financial Partners, headquartered in Memphis with offices in Nashville and Jackson, Mississippi and Little Rock, Arkansas. This was an effort to be part of a larger organization which provides advice, service, and support through qualified specialists in the Long Term Care, Estate Planning, Qualified Retirement Plans, Investments and Employee Benefits areas.

Ben Atchley:
Ben has worked in the insurance industry for over 45 years and is a Chartered Life Underwriter recipient. He served in the Tennessee Legislature for over 30 years with his final position as a Senate Minority Leader. Ben has served on numerous boards, was on the initial class of Leadership Knoxville, and is past President of The Knoxville Association and Financial Advisors. He is a member of Greystone Presbyterian Church.

Mike is a Chartered Life Underwriter recipient and has worked in the insurance and investment business for 28 years. He’s is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. Mike is a life and Qualifying member of The Million Dollar Round Table and is listed in National Registers Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals. He is on Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee’s agent advisory committee, serves on the board of Vision Foundation, inc., The Society of Financial Services Professionals, is active in The Knoxville Estate Planning Council, and a member of the University of Tennessee ”T” Club. Mike is a member of First Baptist Church.
Ed is a Chartered Life Underwriter recipient. His career spans 36 years in the insurance and financial services arena. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. Ed was on the initial agent advisory committee for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee and is a Past President of the Knoxville Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors. He Currently serves on the boards of East Tennessee Baptist Hospital Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club. Ed is a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church.
Rhonda has worked for ACS for over 25 years serving the firm as Administrative Assistant. Rhonda provides excellent service and is well known by many long-term clients. She is a member of Arlington Baptist Church.
Scott graduated from the University of Tennessee in May of 2005 with a B.S. in finance. He recently joined ACS to focus on client service and development. The Knoxville News Sentinel listed Scott as the 7th best distant runner in East Tennessee in July 2005. Scott is a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church.
Rob graduated from the University of Mississippi in May, 2007 with a B.S. in Insurance and Risk Management. Rob primarily works in the areas of new client development and service to existing ACS customers. He is a member of First Baptist Church of Knoxville.
