Memphis Business Journal: "How will the onslaught of retiring baby boomers alter the financial planning industry?"
Jerry Corless, CFP®, Associate Managing Partner of Strategic Financial Partners: "The onslaught of baby boomers will require financial services representatives to continue to become more well-rounded, as in-depth knowledge of many subject areas will be required, such as Social Security, asset management, Medicare, long-term care insurance, wills, trusts, powers of appointment, annuities, and taxes, just to name a few. The most successful planners in the industry will be those who have a commanding knowledge of all areas, with the communication skills necessary to coordinate a comprehensive plan effectively with both clients and their legal and tax advisors. In short, the onslaught of baby boomers and the complexity of their circumstances will require planners to become some of the most valued professionals in business."
